Reference dictionary
Dictionary files derive from German Wiktionary through wiktextract/kaikki.org (Tatu Ylonen), dump dated 2026-10-01, retrieved 2026-10-28. Authors and revision histories are available on each original entry.
Our adaptations
Frequent words were selected with wordfreq (Robyn Speer, data CC BY-SA 4.0), together with course vocabulary. We shortened glosses, selected translations and compacted inflection tables. Our EN/AR meanings replace source meanings for course words; missing course words were added. These meanings inside dictionary files also use CC BY-SA 4.0. Frequency values are not published. This licence covers dictionary data, not app code or our separately displayed examples and reading texts.

The course and Nahla
Course meanings, examples and reading texts are authored by Wortwabe. Goethe/ÖSD lists were checklists, not copied texts. Nahla and Wortwabe artwork are original brand illustrations. Wortwabe is independent of Goethe, ÖSD and telc.
Fonts and scheduling
